The mission of the Friends of the Library is to support and be an advocate for the LeClaire Community Library.

Our Meetings:

  • We meet the fourth Thursday of most months (not in July, August or December).
  • Meetings are at 4:30 P.M. at the LeClaire Community Library- 323 Wisconsin Street LeClaire, IA (At the corner of 3rd Street & Wisconsin).

Our Events:

  • Book Sales - Semi-annual book sales take place in the spring and fall, as well as a year-round on-going sale in the library. See for dates.

The Friends of the LeClaire Community Library currently accept donations of "gently" used books, CD's, DVDs and other items from the community for these sales. Before bringing large donations of books, please call the library at 289-4242 ext.4 to see if we have adequate space to accept all of your donations or View our Donation Policy  Thanks!!
